Microsoft Security Essentials Beta

Microsoft recently made available to a limited group the Microsoft Security Essentials Beta, a new, no-cost, anti-malware solution for Windows PC consumers.    The product provides real-time protection against viruses, spyware and other malicious threats.    It is very lightweight and runs on both 32bit and 64bit Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP SP2 or higher.
